Black Hollow is a fantasy equine forum, which means we allow full customization of your character. You are free to stick on as many markings, tattoos, crazy hair-do's, horns, mutations, and wings as you would like. The only rule we have is to generally stick to realistic equine breeds which also means realistic heights pertaining to the breed. Black Hollow encourages your creativity and thus would like to remove as many limitations as possible. If you feel you are unsure about something pertaining to your character's design do not hesitate to ask.
You are allowed to bring your own breed if your character has his or her own. The character must still fit into the four species below and if you are unsure about the breed or if will be allowed don't hesitate to ask or message a staff member.

There are four species in Black Hollow.

Equine
Equine's do not have wings or horns on their foreheads. They are allowed mutations, odd colorings, markings, etc.

Unicorn
Unicorns have a horn or horns on their forehead and around it. They are allowed mutations, odd colorings, markings, etc.

Pegasus
Pegasus possess wings and have the ability to fly but cannot have a horn or horns on their foreheads. They are allowed mutations, odd colorings, markings, etc.

Pegicorn
Pegicorns have both wings and a horn or horns on and around their foreheads. They are allowed mutations, odd colorings, markings, etc.

As long as you abide by the super simple species guidelines you are free to be as creative as you like with your characters.
